The standard applies to underground metal structures: steel pipelines for all purposes, electrical power cables, communication cables, alarms, regardless of the method of laying, underground steel tanks; to sources of stray currents: electrified rail transport — long-distance, suburban, urban (metro, tram) and industrial; direct current power transmission lines in the "wire - ground" system, industrial enterprises consuming direct electric current for technological purposes
